The Carrot Seed.
This year dude got his own box for carrots. I recall the day he “planted” the seeds, AKA as dumping the entire packet in one spot. Like the mother in the Ruth Krauss book I didn’t think it would grow. Well he, just like in the story, watered and watered and watered them. As the grew the grew into a gigantic “clump” of carrots. We had a lesson in “thinning” but he insisted they were “ok the way they are”. His box, his garden, we tend his way. Yesterday before watering he looked at me quite serious and said “my carrots are ready to pick”. As you can see he was quite proud of his carrots that indeed did grow! I love my little farmer.
